Torontonians are invited to delve into the unique world of post-Soviet cinema at the first ever
Toronto Russian Film Festival. With 11 titles comprised of Russian and Russian-language feature films, documentaries and animated works ranging from Second World War and family drama to an onscreen Chekhov literary adaptation, TRFF boasts a unique selection of movies that capture the long-standing history of Russian cinematic storytelling. The Festival features works from Russian cinematic icons that include: actors Egor Beroev, Irina Kupchenko, Alexei Petrenko and Svetlana Kryuchkova; directors Vera Glagoleva and Valery Pendrakovsky; executive producer Natalia Semina; and acclaimed writer, screenwriter and producer Eduard Topol.
