Since 1971, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has partnered with community organizations to help people complete their income tax and benefit returns. The CRA offers the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), which allows low income individuals & families, seniors, newcomers, and physically challenged individuals to have their tax returns completed at no charge. Each year, this community-based program helps over half a million Canadian.

A new Russian Library and Community Information Centre’s project “Sharing the Gift of Books” encourages seniors to share thier skills, knowledge, cultural expiriences with children through reading books togehter, teaching children how to read in Russian, discussing books and telling stories.
